Artistic Director and Conductor: 2000 - Present
A professional orchestra on New Jersey’s central coast, the GSP presents 15 concerts per season, consisting of masterworks, pops, and educational programs.
Accomplishments include:
- Led transition of organization from semi-professional to fully professional orchestra
- Developed and implemented various concert production innovations and presentation methods to enhance vitality of concert experience
- Expanded existing education programs to include broader outreach, including lifelong learning opportunities as well as non-traditional audience outreach
- Co-creator of the highly acclaimed Ford Made In America commissioning project of the League of American Orchestras - the first commission, Joan Tower’s Made In America, won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Classical Composition
- Assisted in creation and implementation of fundraising and development program that resulted in a 38% budget increase over six seasons
- Subscription and single ticket sales have increased 12% over the past three seasons
North Shore Music Festival
Port Washington, NY
Artistic Director and Conductor: 2011 - Present
A summer music festival set on the North Shore of Long Island, the NSMF presents performances of opera, chamber orchestra, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. The festival is designed to give young artists performance experience alongside seasoned professionals while presenting performances of the highest artistic quality for our audiences.
Responsibilities include:

- Artistic supervision of all programs

- Oversee musical preparation of artists
- Work with young artists and youth involved in outreach programs
New Opera New York City

A new company dedicated to presenting opera in fresh and accessible ways to appeal to new audiences.

Lyric Opera of San Antonio
San Antonio, TX
Music Director and Conductor: 2002 - 2007
A professional opera company, LOSA presents three main stage productions per season as well as various smaller productions and concerts. Duties included: season programming, auditions of principal artists, musical preparation of principal artists, all music rehearsals, and conducting of performances.
Accomplishments include:
- Created / hosted highly popular pre-concert program, Musically Speaking, a “behind-the-scenes” look at various productions that deepened the performance experience for participants
- Participated in outreach programs and events (TV and public appearances) to increase public awareness of LOSA and its programs
- Guest host of K-PAC’s Classical Spotlight prior to each production
Youth Orchestras of Essex County
Maplewood, NJ
Interim Conductor: 2006
YOEC is the longest-operating youth orchestra in New Jersey, with four orchestras and various ensembles.
